Water that is less than
7 in value on the pH scale is considered as acidic water. When water
undergoes the process electrolysis for the purpose of ionization, the
portion of the water that retains the positively charged ions is known as acidic
water.
Many of the foods that we
eat and drinks tend to be more acidic than alkaline. Examples of acidic foods are such as processed foods, white flour,
sugar and meat. Acidic beverages such as coffee and carbonated drinks also tend
to raise acidity in your body.
We also
consume a large portion of additives which are acidic in nature; we use
artificial chemical sweeteners like NutraSweet, Spoonful, Sweet 'N Low, Equal,
or Aspartame, which are poisonous and extremely acidic.
In short, an acidic body
pH can occurs from:
1.Acid
forming diet,
2. Emotional
stress,
3.Toxic
overload due to medication,
4.Immune
reactions or any process that deprives the body cells of oxygen and other
nutrients.
One of
the best things we can do to correct an overly acid body is to change the diet
and lifestyle. Naturally, the body will
try to compensate for acidic pH by using alkaline minerals. If the diet does
not contain enough alkaline minerals to compensate, a buildup of acids in the
cells will occur.
As an example: Diet
consists of apple, broccoli and raisins are alkaline mineral promoting.
Other than that, by
increasing our intake of alkaline water we can help our bodies regulate pH
balance.
Stay tuned for the next post as we will elaborate more on "THE SYMPTOMS OF ACIDOSIS".
